Opened a fresh container of wheat today. Something about the cooler weather brought the baker out in me. That, and the fact that I came home with no bread from Save Mart. Just nothing there worth buying, and I finally had time to bake. The smell of the uncracked grains did something very strange: They reminded me of my friend. You see, Marilyn delivered that container to me, as she had many others. This was the last one.I know that I am not the only one who is missing you, Marilyn. So, for all of us, we love you. Rest sweetly in Jesus' arms, sweet friend.

A special memory - and some teary eyes. Thanks for the reminder of the important stuff of life: not just bread and wheat (tho they rank right up there!), but dear friends.
