Summer Fun

The youngest two children and I set out at the beginning of summer to find swimming lessons. Instead we found a treasure: A pocket of home school families and other believers we had never met. A pool full of wonderful coaches and lifeguards. A fellow quilter. A five-year-old girl who swims like a champion. New friends who seemed like old ones. A mother of eight who organizes birthdays and picnics for lifeguards. Boys "just my age" and girls "I can't wait to see". The cutest toddlers on the planet.
Instead of swim lessons the children joined swim team at Airways Pool. For 20 dollars apiece Josiah and Rebekah spent the whole summer working on their skills and developing lasting friendships 5 days a week. Guess where we will be next summer.

How fun! Yes, we too use to take the children to Airways for lessons and loved those sweet times. Praise God for leading you to new friends and giving your family such a treasure of fellowship! Enjoy!!!

What fun photos! So how did you post them in their little collage-type format? (that would provide me a way of not having a mile-long post -- if we could group smaller ones...)

Well that was two summers ago, but I think all I did was add all the text first, and then throw the pictures in. Some I aligned left, and others right, so that's how it ended up. Wish I could say I planned it that way...Smile.
